WELCOME TO PINE CREEK THERAPY
Helping clients retrain their brains in order to alleviate suffering, emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Therapeutic Approach
Life tends to have a way of throwing us a few more curve balls than we’d like. I love helping clients gain the tools and understanding they need to make navigating through this crazy life less overwhelming. Sometimes when life's too much our brains try to help us out by sending danger signals.
These signals can come in many different forms, including physical pain, anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, and much more. Unfortunately, even though these danger signals are just doing the best they can, they tend to make things even harder. Thankfully, it is possible to retrain our brains away from these harmful "protections" and replace them with safety and health.
About
Siera Heaton
Throughout my teens and college years, I struggled with chronic pain and regularly passing out, among other maladies. To try to help myself heal I began a regular yoga practice and eventually started teaching. Throughout that time I started recognizing how trauma can get stuck in our bodies and how movement can help heal us - emotionally, mentally, and physically.
Now, as a licensed therapist, I understand much more than I did then about how and why that healing takes place and I love sharing what I've learned with those searching for the same sort of healing I was.
Although movement is never a requirement, I find it to be an incredible addition to those that have felt stuck in more traditional therapy approaches.

About
Elizabeth Van Meter
I believe therapy can be a place of return — a sacred space of reconnection with the authentic spark that lives within you. Perhaps that essential self has been obscured through pain, fear, self-doubt, or trauma. My hope is to walk alongside you as you gently reconnect with who you truly are, through compassion and care.
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor-in-training at the University of Utah. I am drawn to experiential work through a trauma-focused lens, including Core Self Reclamation Therapy, Mindfulness, Multicultural Counseling, and CBT.
Before becoming a clinician, I spent many years as a documentary filmmaker and performer, and that background continues to shape how I work in session with deep curiosity and reverence for the complexity of each person’s story. My hope is that our work together helps you feel less alone, more rooted in your core self, and more able to move toward healing with courage and fierce love.
